The latest version of CARTO 3 Mapping System is now installed in Nikan Hospital. This advanced mapping system is a valuable tool in the treatment of complex arrhythmias.

Cryoablation

Now cryoablation or treatment of arrhythmias by 'freezing' is available at our electrophysiology lab in Day General Hospital.

This technique opens new horizons in the treatment of patients with atrial fibrillation (irregular heart rhythm).

Patients with arrhythmias close to the natural heart conduction system who may be at risk of needing pacemaker with conventional radiofrequency ablation can also be treated safely with this new technology.

Subcutaneous ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator)

ICDs classically implanted trans-venously for patients at high risk of sudden death save lives. However, problems sometimes arise with leads (wires) inserted into the heart. The new Subcutaneous device is implanted under the skin, leaving the heart and vasculature untouched. If you need an ICD ask your doctor if you are a candidate for such a device.

Leadless Pacemaker

Standard pacemakers are implanted in a pocket created under the chest wall while leads (wires) are inserted through the vessels into the heart. The new amazing leadless pacemakers are introduced through groin vessels into the heart with no need for chest wall pocket and no scars. No wires are needed.
